EMPLOYMENT > ELECTRICAL AREA

The candidate will perform electrical and physical analyses of semiconductor devices and other electronic components with the objective of relating electrical malfunctions to physical imperfections.

Technician

Primary responsibilities:

• Performs curve trace characterization, electrical bench tests, microprobing, liquid crystal hot spot detection and other tests
• Performs sequential and selective stripback of devices monitoring an area of interest
• Performs optical and scanning electron microscopy
• Writes technical reports

Engineer

Primary responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of analyses to identify failure mechanisms in semiconductor devices or other electrical components
• Utilizes conventional and specialized equipment such as SEM, light emission microscopy, microprobing, voltage contrast, FIB, EBIC, OBIC and other applicable techniques
• Writes technical reports
• Develops new analytical techniques to increase lab capabilities
• Manages a small group of technicians and engineers
• Possesses, ideally, some materials engineering background
