The candidate will analyze materials utilized in the semiconductor industry with the objective of identifying elements and characterize structures that influence the functionality of the device and fabrication yield.

Technician

Primary responsibilities:

• Operates competently one or more of the following equipment:  SEM, AES, XED, SIMS, FIB, AFM, and TEM
• Performs a variety of analyses to identify materials on a sample
• Performs a variety of sample preparations including:  cross sections, angle and parallel lapping, etching and coating
• Writes technical reports

Engineer

Primary responsibilities:

• Performs analyses utilizing SEM, AES, XED, SIMS, FIB, AFM, and TEM
• Writes technical reports
• Develops new analytical techniques to increase lab capabilities
• Manages a small group of technicians and engineers
• Possesses, ideally, experience in TEM operation
